APPSETUP FOR SHOPIFY

Digital Receipts

Document delivery from a mailbox selected and authorized by the merchant.

Limited Google access: Appsetup requests only the gmail.send permission. We do not read, search, modify, or delete Gmail messages.

How it works

  1. The merchant opens Digital Receipts in Appsetup Dashboard and selects Google or Microsoft.
  2. The provider displays its consent screen. The merchant chooses a mailbox and authorizes sending.
  3. Appsetup creates the receipt or audit document and sends it to the configured recipient from the connected mailbox.
  4. The merchant can disable automatic delivery or disconnect the mailbox at any time.

Why gmail.send is required

The permission allows the Gmail API to send the specific message requested by the merchant. It does not expose inbox or sent-mail content to Appsetup. We use it for test messages, customer digital receipts, and audit documents sent to the address configured by the merchant.

Data and protection

We receive the connected Google account's basic identity, granted scope, and OAuth tokens. Tokens are encrypted before storage and used only to maintain the connection and perform authorized sending. We do not sell Google data or use it for advertising or training generalized AI models.

Disconnecting and deletion

The merchant can disconnect the mailbox from the Digital Receipts page. This disables automatic delivery and deletes the connection and encrypted OAuth tokens from the active database. Access can also be revoked from the Google Account third-party connection settings. Deletion requests can be sent to team@appsetupeng.com.
